Welcome to Finnicum House: A Family of Stories That Matter

Every family has stories.
Some are told around the dinner table. Some are carried quietly for years. Some begin as a sentence written in a notebook and slowly become a book. At Finnicum House, we believe the stories that stay with us are the ones that carry meaning: stories with substance, heart, and something worth sharing.
Welcome to Finnicum House, a family publishing brand. Our guiding idea is simple: Stories That Matter.
We are creating a home for meaningful writing from members of our family, while inviting readers to follow along as new books, ideas, and authors find their way into the world.
A house built around meaningful stories
Finnicum House is more than a name on a website. It is a place for stories that connect people.
The books and projects connected to Finnicum House may be different in subject, audience, and style. Some may be gentle and imaginative. Some may explore difficult experiences. Others may offer encouragement, reflection, or a fresh way to look at everyday life.
What they share is a belief that words can make a difference.
A meaningful story does not have to be loud to matter. It may help a reader feel understood. It may bring back a treasured memory. It may offer hope during a hard season. It may give a child a character to care about or give an adult the courage to take one more step.
That is the kind of storytelling we want to support: honest, memorable, and connected to real life.
Meet Callie and the Lucy series
One of the first stories to find a home at Finnicum House is Callie Finnicum’s Lucy series.
Callie has three published books:
- Lucy: A Summer to Remember
- Lucy: 4 to Remember
- Lucy: A Gift to Remember
Together, these books represent an important part of the Finnicum House story. They are part of a growing body of work created to be shared with readers and remembered long after the final page.

A book series can offer readers something special: the chance to return to a familiar world and spend more time with characters they have come to know. Each new title adds another part to the journey, creating a collection that can be read, revisited, and shared.
The Lucy books are currently available on Amazon and are in the process of being listed with IngramSpark as well. We look forward to helping more readers discover them. As the website grows, we plan to share more information about current books, future releases, and ways to stay connected.
Stories still being written
A publishing house is not only about finished books. It is also about the stories taking shape behind the scenes: the early drafts, the questions, the revisions, and the moments when an idea begins to become clear.
Several meaningful projects are part of the wider Finnicum House family.
Kate’s book about cancer and cancer survivors
Kate is working on a book about cancer and cancer survivors.
Cancer touches many lives, and every person’s experience is different. A book on this subject has the opportunity to acknowledge the difficult parts while also making room for strength, compassion, understanding, and hope.
Kate’s work is still in progress. We will share more when the time is right, but we are glad to recognize the importance of the story now. Books about difficult experiences can help people feel less alone. They can give families language for conversations that are not always easy to begin. They can honor the courage of people who have faced illness and the people who have stood beside them.
This future book is one example of what “Stories That Matter” means to us. Meaningful storytelling is not always comfortable, but it can be deeply valuable.

Jacque’s women’s self-help manuscript
Jacque: known in the family as Mema to Callie: has completed a women’s self-help manuscript and will be self-publishing it with Finnicum House.
Finishing a manuscript is a significant accomplishment. It takes persistence, patience, and a willingness to keep returning to the page. Moving into self-publishing with Finnicum House is the next important stage in the book’s life, and we are looking forward to seeing Jacque’s work reach readers.
Her manuscript joins the Finnicum House family of stories with a focus on women, personal growth, and encouragement. While the publishing process continues, we hope readers will enjoy getting to know the people and ideas behind the books we share.
Every author’s path is different. Some stories are already published. Some are being revised. Some are moving toward publication with Finnicum House. Each one begins with the same essential act: someone believes the story is worth telling.
What readers can expect from Finnicum House
As Finnicum House continues to grow, this website will become a place where readers can discover more of our work and keep up with what is ahead.
You can expect updates about:
- Current Finnicum House books
- New and upcoming releases
- Author introductions
- Family publishing news
- Story-related announcements
- Email updates, promotions, and more
We want this to be more than a place to find information. We want it to feel like an open door.
Readers bring their own experiences to every story. The same book can mean something different to different people, depending on where they are in life and what they need at that moment. That is part of the beauty of books. They create a meeting place between the writer and the reader, even when they are far apart.
At Finnicum House, we are grateful for every person who takes the time to read, recommend, respond to, or remember one of our stories.
